How to find peace with constant change.

Oct 07, 2015

Why constant change is so exhausting and how to find peace.

Resistance to change is constantly tempting us to hold on to old habits. This happens on a personal level, and on a global level. For politicians or scientists, for example, it is the fear of losing their credibility that keeps them chained to false belief systems.

What this means is that when new evidence comes to light and the old beliefs are challenged, it takes courage to admit that they were wrong. Instead, evidence to support the old beliefs

Instead, evidence to support the old beliefs is frantically put together to maintain them. They look for 'evidence' to reinforce these beliefs, rather than looking beyond their scope of practice and transcending them.

Only centuries ago, scientists fiercely held on to the belief that the earth was flat, not round.

Not too long ago, scientists were adamant that smoking was perfectly safe, and there were no health risks associated with it.

The point is what we think is true today, may be completely untrue tomorrow. What we know constantly changes, and it may be a big nuisance, but we can't ever stop questioning anything.

This is why it is so important to keep an open mind to new models of reality, not to downplay the old ones, but to recognize their limitations.

On a personal level, all these changes are affecting us and it is exhausting. What and who to believe, what to do, where to go for help with a health issue? It's just easier to stick with what you are used to, but it is not better for you.

There are only a few things that never change: the essence of you, the true connection between all living beings and the connection to our source.

The key is to accept that what never changes is the fact that things change! It is part of life. Be okay with it.

Creating a place of peace through self-awareness.

The only things that never change can become our anchor, our place of peace.
To realize this we need a change in awareness.

Most people live on autopilot most of the time. Without self-awareness, we are not congruent to our essence and we are more susceptible to fatigue from life's hectic changes. We are more tempted to hold on to old outdated beliefs, that keep us stuck in unhealthy habits and patterns. We create more resistance to change things in our life.

All it takes is one big change in awareness for those outer changes to happen more easily and to find our path to health and well-being.

Without a change of awareness or consciousness, real change for the good will continue to be a big struggle.

Find your place of peace through self-awareness.

Take time to stop your busyness, breathe, go within, go out into nature, take yourself off the autopilot and start seeing your life through different eyes.

You will feel more at peace and you'll have less difficulty finding your true path, even if it means letting go of what you knew and embracing something new.
