The REAL cause of the current crisis: An irrational fear of death and disease.

“Economic hardship: Yes, very bad, not death. Emotional stress from being locked in a house: Very bad, not death. Domestic violence on the increase: Very bad, not death. And not death of someone else,” Governor Cuomo.

The governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, said the economic devastation is ‘not worse than death’.

I beg to differ, strongly. This virus is not worse than domestic violence, abuse, desolation, and ongoing emotional stress. But:

Who am I, or who is anyone to decide which sacrifice is justifiable?

His statement is wrong in two ways:

1. The virus is deadly

(99%-99.9% of people that get infected with the virus survive, although the numbers are so skewed, nobody really knows...)

The public is suffering from anxiety, fear, and worry about this virus because they have been convinced that this is a very deadly virus and we should do everything we can to prevent the spread of infection. First, we were told to stay home and social distance in...

From uncertainty to possibilitiy

Master your mind

What blocks you from seeing possibilities is fear. How do you shift from uncertainty to possibility, when fear is a product of uncertainty?

BE OPEN and challenge information itself!

This is for the more advanced thinkers out there.

In the quantum world there is nothing but possibilities. We choose only one reality by observing it and making it so.

What if all of the information out there is a possible truth? What if nobody is wrong or right, or everyone is a little right and a little wrong?

What if the information you base your reality on is limited, incomplete, or even wrong?

When you are living with fear, even if that fear is running in the background and you are not always aware of it, your ability to reason and question information diminishes, or disappears. (Read my previous two blogs to learn what you could do about that)

Questioning is for the more advanced thinkers who are able to shift from a Survival mindset to a Powerful mindset. It is for those who are...

How to deal with fear and anxiety in a Freaky Pandemic

"FEAR, STEP ASIDE PLEASE!"

Fear is a function of the brain and nervous system to keep you safe when there is an immediate threat. But what if the threat is ongoing? Like right now? It causes many to live in a constant state of emergency.

When people are living in survival mode, stress hormones chronically flood the body causing anxiety, overwhelm, but also fatigue and a compromised immune system. Chronic stress negatively affects your immune-system and your genes. It can erode your physical and your mental health.

In other words:  Fear itself is worse than that what you fear.

Unless you do something about the source of your fear: INFORMATION

1. Mindset and Bias

We live in a time with an abundance of information available.

Your brain's job is to filter information. You won't ever know about most of what is happening in your environment, you only become aware of a fraction of it. Only information that your brain deems relevant to you in any moment will make it through to...

Why your life is not getting better and better, and how it can be. Part 3

Part 3: How to feel less powerless?

We live in uncertain times. Too many things seem to be causing fear and worry.

The climate, political unrest, wars, economic uncertainty, threats to our health and well-being not to mention all the things just in our personal lives.

Many of us don’t feel as safe anymore looking at what is going on in the world around us. Looking at the future causes fear and uncertainty. There is a sense of powerlessness.

Lately just around where I live, mother nature has been threatening and destructive with flooding, washouts, and windstorms causing damage, injury, and death.

It is no wonder that we feel as if we have no control over our life. It’s easy to feel powerless and even hopeless at times.

How can you gain your power and balance back and not get carried away and feel subjected to the chaos around you? How can you maintain a sense of positive power?

This third blog in this series of four is about how to feel less powerless in an uncertain,...

Why your life is not getting better and better, and how it can be. Part 2

PART 2: How to deal with life’s Challenges

When you think about your future or even just tomorrow, are you excited? Are you in joyful anticipation and can’t wait to have more amazing experiences?

Or…….

Are you dreading another day, worrying about what’s around the corner or at least cautious, afraid to be disappointed if you expect good things to come?

If you are the cautious type, and you think wearing rose-colored glasses is just irresponsible and unrealistic, you need to know this:

  • You get what you expect
  • What you believe is what you’ll see
  • You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by maintaining a focus on the positive
  • Your life is your responsibility, take it!

This four-part blog series is about how to create a better life, free from feeling overwhelmed by worry, anxiety and stress.

So many people are saying how tired and stressed they are.

It’s a huge concern that so many of our children are struggling with anxiety,...

Why your life is not getting better and better, and how it can be.

Part 1 “What’s eating away at my Confidence?”

Everybody suffers from self-doubt at times. There are no exceptions.

That sounds like a bold statement, but let me explain why I am stating this with such certainty.

It is easy to be confident when the circumstances are in your favour. But honestly, are the conditions ever perfect for very long?

It is tough to sustain your self-confidence when adversity strikes. It doesn’t take much for self-doubt to take over. When self-doubt takes over, it can undermine your self-esteem, and it can get you stuck in a destructive vicious cycle.

Self-doubt undermines your hopes, dreams, and desires. Whether you are aware of it or not.

When the cycle repeats itself, you have created a complex self-sabotaging scheme for yourself.

The problem is it is possible that you are not always aware of the destruction of self-doubt, the self-sabotaging, or your diminishing self-esteem.

All you are doing is just trying to protect...
